The Wednesday five: what survived the busiest week in cardboard
Five cards survived the busiest week in cardboard. Here is what they are doing to prices.
The Wednesday five: what survived the busiest week in cardboard
It was a loud week out there. Pokémon 30th Celebration keeps climbing, with Classic Collection Lugia jumping from $300 to $325 in a single week (TCGplayer). Magic's Reality Fracture set turned every old planeswalker into a lottery ticket, with Oath of Teferi going from about a dollar to over four and foil Aminatou spiking 620% (Draftsim, MTGRocks). Lorcana and Riftbound had their own green-arrow parades (InkDecks, RiftDecks).
So I did the responsible thing and ran this week's movers through our own site this morning. Eighteen cards checked, every exact printing. Result: zero survivors. Lugia, Charizard, Mew ex, Oath of Teferi, Aminatou, The Chain Veil, Tam, Max Goof, Annie Fiery, Seal of Rage, Mary Geoise alt art, all of them. Sold out or never had them. The movers moved.
The column calls for ten cards, but the rule is honest or nothing: no padding with out-of-stock cards. So here is the real Wednesday list. Five things with working Add to cart buttons, and why each one matters right now.
- DON!! Card (LA Dodgers 2026 Promo) at $399 →. Only 1 left. Sports crossover cards have serious legs right now, and One Piece promos owned the mover boards this month. Recent eBay solds and the lowest TCGplayer listing put this around $400. Ours is $399.
- Vi, Piltover Enforcer (Signature) at $1,500 →. Only 1 left. The showcase slot from Unleashed, the newest Riftbound set. Signature cards are the chase of every set, and this is the one sitting in our case.
- Giratina SM151 Staff prerelease promo at $495 →. Only 1 left. Staff promos were never meant to be common, and the Pokémon market is the hottest it has been in years. This is the kind of card that quietly disappears from shops.
- Koala (SP), graded 10 Japanese copy, at $232 →. Only 1 left. The raw version is up 12% on the month, and this one is already slabbed, so there is no grading gamble.
- Journey Together booster box at $215 →. Only 2 left. Sealed Pokémon is still moving everywhere, and this is the box people keep asking about.
The honest footnote
That is five, not ten, because five is what is actually buyable. Everything else from this week's mover lists is gone from our shelves. If you want first crack next time the movers hit, the shop is open 1 to 8 daily on Rainier Ave S, and the site restocks as fast as we can list.
