Some weekends you have to hunt for a game. This is not one of those weekends. The South Sound is stacked from Friday night through Sunday afternoon, and it starts right here at our tables.

Friday night is One Piece night

Our One Piece locals fire on Friday, and if Bobby's history lesson on the main blog today got you feeling nostalgic, remember that the number three game in the country is the one we run every week. Bring your leader, bring your trades, and get there a little early. The room fills up, the matchup talk starts before the first round does, and somebody always has a new tech choice they are dying to show off.

Saturday and Sunday: the show circuit

If you are hunting cardboard instead of playing for it, the Emerald City Card Show takes over the events center at Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn this weekend. It is one of the bigger rooms in the region at 165 tables, the kind of show where a want list actually stands a chance. Check their site before you drive for the day's hours and admission details. Closer to the middle of the map, Twin Oaks Shows sets up at The Commons at Federal Way. Twin Oaks is a family-run operation that has been running card shows around the Northwest for more than three decades, and their shows are free to walk into, which makes them perfect for a first show or a casual browse with the kids.

Sunday: Gundam closes the weekend

Then we bring it home. Our Gundam Card Game locals run on Sunday, and the Sunday crowd has quietly become one of the best rooms in the shop. New players are welcome, the regulars love teaching the game, and it is the friendliest possible way to end a card weekend. Play Friday, hunt Saturday, and we will see you Sunday.
