Marymoor Games: Redmond's home to gather, play, and belong
A Redmond Town Center game store with a new local name, a 25-hour charity gaming marathon in its past, and one of the largest jigsaw puzzle inventories on the west side of the Cascades.
Marymoor Games: Redmond's home to gather, play, and belong
Just a hop, skip, and a jump from Seattle, nestled in the heart of Redmond, lies a gem of a game store: Marymoor Games. Named after the iconic Marymoor Park nearby, this locally owned and operated haven for gaming enthusiasts lives by its motto — "Gather. Play. Belong." Find them at 7325 166th Ave NE, Suite F150, in Redmond Town Center.
A neighborhood store with a new local name
Longtime Eastsiders will recognize the storefront: this was Uncle's Games at Redmond Town Center, and the shop's own site still carries the line "Formerly Uncle's Games Redmond Town Center." The rebrand trades a chain identity for a Redmond-local one, taking its name from Marymoor Park just down the road. The mission didn't change — hobby board games, trading card games, and RPGs, hand-picked for every kind of player, with weekly events for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon League, open board game nights, and learn-to-play sessions.
The 25-hour marathon
But the thing that sets this store apart in the series so far is what it did back in 2013. This same store co-ran one of the biggest Extra Life board-gaming charity events in the nation — for 25 hours straight, over 200 people came together at Redmond Town Center to game for Seattle Children's Hospital. Paizo showed up. Geek & Sundry's Tabletop showed up — producer Boyan Radakovich flew out to play. And a silent auction of designer-signed games raised the stakes: a Pathfinder bag signed by the whole Paizo team, and a Star Trek Catan signed by Wil Wheaton and Jeri Ryan. That's the kind of store this is.
Puzzles, game-matching, and a place for everyone
Day to day, Marymoor is the board-game-and-puzzles-first shop on this list, not a singles grinder. The staff are game-matching specialists who help you find the right game for the person you're buying for, and the jigsaw puzzle wall is one of the largest on the west side of the Cascades. The spacious open play space and big demo library keep it family-friendly and welcoming for every kind of player in Redmond, Kirkland, Woodinville, and Sammamish.
In the Northwest, we take our trading card games very seriously. We believe we have the best TCG region in the world, and Marymoor Games is proof of that. So whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, be sure to "Gather. Play. Belong." at Marymoor Games.
