There is a particular kind of buzz that only a prerelease week creates. Everybody is learning the same new cards at the same time, nobody has a solved list yet, and the best story from the weekend is not a price. It is a stamp. Mega Evolution Delta Reign prereleases are running now at Play! Pokémon stores, and the window stays open through November 1, with the full launch following on November 6. The set brings more than 135 cards, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex, and the prerelease is still the most fun way to meet a new set, because the whole room discovers it together.

The STAFF stamp everybody is arguing about

The talk of the weekend started with a reel, not a press release. A Facebook reel from October 24 shows a STAFF-stamped Enamorus prerelease promo beside a pair of Mega Rayquaza ex pulls, and the comments have been going ever since. Were the STAFF stamps a printing error, or were they intentional? Nobody in the thread has settled it, and that is half the fun. The one thing to be clear about is that we are not promising STAFF-stamped stock here, because a prerelease kit holds what it holds.

What we can promise is the shape of the prerelease itself. Build and Battle Boxes carry one of four foil promos, and the four names are already part of the weekend chatter. Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus, and Kommo-o each show up in a different box, so trading at the tables starts before the first round does.

Wait for the box at list price

Here is the other half of the prerelease story, and it is the part that saves you money. The standard Elite Trainer Box carries a list price of $49.99. Recent online checks have landed anywhere from about $106 to about $133. That gap is the whole argument for playing the prerelease and waiting on sealed. The prerelease gives you the new cards in hand this week, and the full launch on November 6 is when the box should be a normal purchase again, not a bidding war. If a sealed box is calling your name, let it wait until list price does the talking.

One more thing to keep an eye on, with a flag on it. A creator video claims that retailer-exclusive Delta Reign promos arrive with a $15 purchase starting November 6, with different promos at different chains. That detail comes from a video, not an official Pokémon announcement we could verify, so treat it as a rumor to check against official channels before you plan a trip around it. If it holds up, big-box foot traffic will spike that week, and the shop counter is a calmer place to ask what is actually in stock.

Prerelease details and the shop calendar live at Drum Island Trading Co. events. Come play a round, trade for the promo you missed, and argue about the STAFF stamp in person. That argument is better across a table than in a comment thread.
